Cheapest Credit Card deals in the UK

The arrival of American card issuers means you can now take advantage of some of the cheapest credit card offers available. This has prompted the UK market to offer better deals and fight for your custom. You may think you have a cheap credit card rate but when did you last look around at the other deals available?

Because rates are constantly being reviewed, there is a good chance that a more competitive offer is available elsewhere. For starters, make sure that you are not paying an annual fee. If your card suddenly decides to introduce one then it is time to reach for the phone to insist that you will take your business elsewhere unless they waive it. If they refuse then reach for the scissors and switch to a credit card deal which is fee-free.

With most credit cards, if you go out shopping on the day after you receive this month's statement, then you will not be billed for your purchases until the same time next month and payment will not be due until three to four weeks after that. This amounts to an interest-free period, in most cases this is 56 days but can be as short as 45 days.
